Most Betterment accounts count: investing accounts, IRAs, crypto, Solo 401(k)s, HSAs, Cash Reserve, Self-Directed Investing, and any Betterment 401(k) from your employer. Checking accounts, accounts managed by an outside financial advisor, and 401(k) accounts if it’s your only Betterment account do not count.
