How can I tell if my account is being automatically adjusted?

To confirm whether auto-adjust is on or off within an investing goal:

Web browser:

1. Log into Betterment.
2. Select the investing goal from the left-hand menu.
3. Click the “Settings” tab.
4. Scroll to the “Portfolio” section. Here, you can confirm if auto-adjust is on or off.

Mobile app:

1. Log into the Betterment app.
2. Tap the investing goal from the home page.
3. Tap “Settings” in the upper right-hand corner.
4. Here, you will find an “Auto-adjust” section with either “On” or “Off” displayed.

To enable or disable auto-adjust:

Web browser:

1. Log into Betterment.
2. Select the investing goal from the left-hand menu.
3. Click the “Settings” tab.
4. Scroll to the “Portfolio” section.
5. Next to “Allocation”, select “Edit”.
6. In the left-hand column, you can toggle auto-adjust on or off.
