To qualify, your friend must be a new Betterment customer, sign up using your designated referral link or referral code, and complete a qualifying deposit within 30 days of signup, inclusive of the normal settlement period (typically 2-3 business days).
To earn the Cash Reserve reward, they must deposit at least $10 into an eligible individual Cash Reserve account within that 30-day window. The APY boost begins on the date the qualifying deposit settles.
To earn the investing reward, they must deposit at least $100 into an eligible individual automated investing account within that same 30-day window, then keep at least $100 in the account for 30 days after the qualifying deposit. The $150 investing bonus is paid after that 30-day period.
If they open and fund both eligible account types within the qualification window, they can earn both rewards.
