When filling out your SBLOC application, please keep the following tips in mind to avoid unnecessary rejections or delays in the process:
- Account number:
- All account numbers should be 15 digits and start 2680-
- Clients can find their account numbers on their statements or by going to Settings > Accounts
- Account title means the name of the person who holds the account
- Individual accounts: client’s name (John Smith)
- Joint accounts: both clients’ names (John Doe & Jane Doe)
- Trust accounts: Legal name of the trust (Smith Family Trust)
- Business accounts: Legal name of the business (ACME Products LLC)
- When submitting an application with a joint account, make sure both account holders are listed as applicants or pledgors
