How to find your external account number for an ACAT transfer

To help your transfer go smoothly, it’s important to enter your account number exactly as it appears at your current provider.

Even small differences—like missing digits or formatting—can cause delays or rejections.

Below are step-by-step instructions for locating your account number at common financial institutions. If you’re unsure, you can also check a recent account statement or contact your provider directly to confirm.

  1. Log in to your account
  2. From the left-hand menu, select My profile
  3. Go to the Product tab
  4. Locate your account number for each product
  • Account numbers are typically 8–10 digits

  2. Under Accounts, select the account you want to transfer
  3. Your account number appears in the top left-hand corner
  • Format example: 1234-5678

  2. Go to Home
  3. Scroll to the Accounts section
  4. Locate your account number

  3. Click See full account number
  4. Your full J.P. Morgan account number will display

  3. Select Settings
  4. In the left menu, go to My Accounts
  5. Select the account you want to transfer
  6. Find your account number under Account Details

  2. Tap the Profile icon (bottom right)
  3. Tap the Menu icon (top left)
  4. Scroll down and tap Show numbers

  • Account numbers will always start with a 5 or C

  2. Navigate to the Account Details or Profile section
