It depends on your account:
- Betterment Plus members and Advised clients: Betterment waives the Instant Withdrawal fee.
- All other customers: 1.5% of the withdrawal amount, with a $1 minimum and a $50 maximum. The fee is deducted from your withdrawal. For example, if you request $100, the fee is $1.50 and you’ll receive $98.50.
Standard transfers don’t carry this fee. Your receiving bank may also charge its own fee for incoming instant payments, so it’s worth checking with them. If an Instant Withdrawal doesn’t go through, the fee is canceled
