Due to compensation, Paylocity has an incentive to recommend Betterment, which is a conflict of interest. They are compensated up to $3.50 per participant per month on a recurring basis for the partnership. For a limited time, they are also compensated up to $60,000 for team events, plus $100 per additional employer (with over 50 employees) referred to Betterment once they have referred over 100 of such leads.
