I’d like to introduce myself!
My name is Katherine Buck and I am the new Community Manager for Betterment. I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the Betterment family, managing distribution of our social media content and writing about topics of interest for our valued customers and readers.
I came to Betterment as a customer who loved the service. I have been really into the sleek design and ease of using Betterment for a while, and most importantly the thesis of the company – helping people feel better about their future. I came from Wall Street, with tours through JP Morgan Private Bank and BlackRock’s institutional client group. I’ve worked at different levels of personal finance distribution, from individual wealth management to selling funds to plan sponsors providing 401(k) plans to employees. I wanted to continue my career in the business of saving and investing, but at a company that was mission-driven.
Writing has always been a passion of mine. In addition to my time in financial services, I worked as a freelance copy editor for LivingSocial and majored in Communications while at Boston College. When the opportunity at Betterment opened up where I could contribute to its mission of providing smart, accessible investing while tapping into my experience and love of writing, it was truly a dream role.
I look forward to using my background and voice to provide you with engaging, meaningful content from the Betterment brand.
