Betterment LLC is the latest financial advice and money-planning website to pull in serious venture-capital backing.
The New York startup, known as a “robo adviser” or “robo investor,” announced today it had received its largest amount of cash to date. The $100 million comes from a venture capital set that includes Swedish investment firm Kinnevik, which led the round, as well as previous investors Bessemer Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, Anthemis Group and Francisco Partners.
